Peningkatan Hasil dan Aktivitas Belajar Siswa melalui Penerapan Metode Role Playing di Kelas VIII SMP Muhammadiyah Sungailiat

Teaching and learning activities in the classroom often take place in a monotonous manner, so that students get bored and lose concentration. The impact is in low learning outcomes and low student activity in the learning process. This study aims to determine whether the implementation of the role-playing method can improve learning outcomes and learning activities for Class VIII students in the subject of Islamic Religious Education at Muhammadiyah Sungailiat Middle School in 2022. This research is classroom action research consisting of two cycles, and each cycle consists of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The data for this study came from students in the form of test results and observation sheets completed by a single observer. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the role-playing method in the learning process can improve the learning outcomes and learning activities of class VIII students in the odd semester of 2022 in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) lessons on the subject of being humble, thrifty, and simple to make life nobler. There 90% of students who succeeded in achieving learning mastery with an average score of 86 points, and student learning activities increased from less active to very active.
AbstrakKegiatan belajar mengajar di dalam kelas seringkali berlangsung secara monoton sehingga membuat siswa bosan dan kehilangan konsentrasi. Hal ini kemudian berakibat pada rendahnya hasil belajar dan aktivitas siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah penggunaan metode role playing dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar dan aktivitas belajar siswa Kelas VIII pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam di SMP Muhammadiyah Sungailiat tahun 2022. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri dari dua siklus dan masing-masing siklus terdiri dari empat tahapan yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Data dalam penelitian ini bersumber dari siswa yang berupa hasil tes dan bersumber dari lembar observasi yang dilakukan oleh satu orang observer. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode Role Playing dapat proses pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar dan aktivitas belajar siswa kelas VIII pada semester ganjil tahun 2022 pada pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) dalam materi rendah hati, hemat, dan sederhana membuat hidup lebih mulia. Terdapat 90% siswa yang berhasil mencapai ketuntasan belajar dengan nilai rata-rata adalah 86 poin, dan aktivitas belajar siswa meningkat dari kurang aktif menjadi sangat aktif.
