Archiving Policy

JIGM is committed to the long-term preservation of its digital content. To ensure that all articles published in the journal remain as part of the permanent scholarly record and are accessible to future generations of researchers, the journal employs the following archiving and preservation strategies:

1. LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe)

The journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries. This allows those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration.

2. CLOCKSS (Controlled Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe)

The journal also uses the CLOCKSS system to ensure a secure and permanent archive for the journal. CLOCKSS is a dark archive that ensures that the content will be accessible in the event the journal is no longer published.

3. PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN)

As an OJS-based journal, JIGM utilizes the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN). This service digitally preserves OJS journals by depositing content into the LOCKSS network for long-term archiving.
