CONTINUOUS PUBLICATIAN MODEL (Effective 2026)

Dear Authors, Readers, and Partners,

Jurnal Ilmiah Guru Madrasah (JIGM) is pleased to announce that starting in 2026, the journal will adopt a Continuous Publication (Article-Based Publishing) Model.

Under this model, JIGM will maintain its biannual publication schedule:

  • Issue 1: January – June

  • Issue 2: July – December

Within each issue period, articles that have successfully completed the full editorial and production workflow will be published online immediately upon readiness, without waiting for the entire issue to be finalized.

Editorial Standards Remain Unchanged

The adoption of continuous publication does not alter the journal’s editorial rigor.

All manuscripts will continue to undergo the complete editorial process, including:

  • Initial editorial screening

  • Double-blind peer review

  • Revisions (when required)

  • Copyediting

  • Proofreading

  • Layout/typesetting

  • Final approval

No article will receive accelerated or shortened editorial treatment.

Version of Record & Citation Stability

Each article published online will constitute the final Version of Record, accompanied by:

  • DOI assignment

  • Official publication date

  • Complete bibliographic metadata

Articles will be immediately citable upon publication.

Issue Compilation

Although articles are released continuously:

  • The issue remains open throughout the six-month cycle

  • Articles accumulate progressively

  • The issue is formally closed at the end of the publication period

This ensures publication consistency, metadata stability, and indexing compatibility.

Purpose of This Policy

This publication model is implemented to:

  • Accelerate research dissemination

  • Reduce publication delays

  • Improve workflow efficiency

  • Enhance author experience

while fully preserving editorial integrity and ethical standards.

Continuous publication workflows are widely used in international scholarly publishing and are consistent with best practices emphasizing transparency, record integrity, and citation reliability.
